OTHER NEWS
Would you love to write more for Inman but have a hard time coming up with topics to pursue? Inquire about our Star Contrib Program (simply email me at [email protected] and let me know if you're in). We will send out assignments to be claimed voluntarily each week with a week-long deadline.
We ask that you file a story monthly at minimum. Your stories will receive top priority editing and placement, and our star contrib stories often get the most traffic. Please let me know if you are interested.
CONTRIBUTOR FACEBOOK PAGE
We use our contributor Facebook group as an alert system for stories as they are published as well as a sounding board for contribs as we work on stories. If you aren't a member but would like to be, please shoot me an email at [email protected].
You can also use the Facebook group to:
- Like your favorites: Share your top stories each week, and give props to your colleagues.
- Post a favorite passage: If you read something that just speaks to you, post it in the group and give the author a big shout out.
- Crowdsource: I can't think of a better place to ask other willing, intelligent real estate writers for advice, resources, quotes, sources -- basically anything you need to write a great story.
- Talk about your story: You will see us doing this more and more, as well as asking you questions about your stories and sharing more about ours. We invite you to do this too.
- Give kudos or constructive criticism, and ask questions: This is the perfect place to have a discussion about what a story needed, what an author did amazingly well or remaining questions for the writer.
