OTHER NEWS
To help us make sure that we are getting your stories to the right audience, both nationally and locally, we've decided to add city and state to the end-of-the-story bios. To minimize the email back and forth, can you please just let me know what city and state you live in when you submit your next submission? If you forget, there's a good chance that I'll ask to double-check. Also, see below for how to update your end-of-the-story bio and your author's page.
UPDATING BIOS
The short end-of-the-story bio is easy to update. If your city, job title or company changes, just add your bio or the info below to the end of your story, and when you email to submit, just let me know that the bio needs to stay as is.

To edit your author's page:
To edit your author's page, you will log in to WordPress. Look to the left-hand column to find "USERS" and click on that and search your name. Then edit away.
CONTRIBUTORS FACEBOOK GROUP
By now I think most of you know that we have a contrib FB group. (If you don't, please email me ([email protected]), and I'll send you an invite.) Here are a few ways we are using -- and hope you join in -- the contributors FB group.
- Like your favorite stories each week -- the stories with the most likes each week will get a shout out.
- Post a favorite passage -- if you read something that just speaks to you, post it in the group and earn the author a big shout out.
- Crowdsource -- I can't think of a better place to ask other willing, intelligent, real estate writers for advice, resources, quotes, sources -- basically anything you need to write a great story.
- Talk about your story -- you might have noticed that Amber posted last week in the FB group about Chelsea Smith Peitz's mammoth (amazing) upcoming tool guide -- part one came out this week. You will see us doing this more and more, as well as asking you questions about your stories and sharing more about ours. We invite you to do this too.
- Give kudos or constructive criticism and ask questions -- This is the perfect place to have a discussion about what a story needed, what an author did amazingly well or remaining questions for the writer.
Want to be on Inman News? Sit down for a video profile at #ICSF
Agents and brokers can sit down for a quick video interview on current industry trends and topics (it shouldn't take longer than three minutes), and they might end up featured on Inman.com during the four days of the event.
ICSF
Because ICSF is next week, we won't have a newsletter -- but I will fill you in the following week on what we missed. We also won't have a star contrib assignment next week.
If you are attending and interested in helping with coverage, please shoot me an email to let me know (if you haven't already) and tell me what you are interested in doing if you have an idea. I will be in touch with ICSFers in the next day or two.
If you are attending and plan to send content -- I need it by the Monday after ICSF. I won't accept stories after that point.
FEEDBACKING
I'm running a little behind on feedbacking. If you are waiting on feedback before ICSF, I will have it to you by the end of the weekend. Thanks for your patience as we prepare for ICSF.
