OTHER NEWS
We hope you're as excited for the big event as we are. Inman Connect now has a mobile app for attendees so they can plan their schedules throughout the four days of fun. The app features a full schedule of panels, speakers and meet-and-greets, as well as a guide to restaurants and things to do in San Francisco. You can download the app on both Apple and Android devices by searching ICSF16 in either app store.
FEEDBACKING
Did you see that date above^^? That's like two weeks away, and there's so much to do! And on top of that, you all have been cranking out content like nobody's business. So here goes: I'm going to put feedbacking on hold until after ICSF. If I've already acknowledged that I will look at your story, I will have answers to you as promised.
But I will resume feedbacking new evergreen content the week after ICSF. So if it seems like I'm giving you a far off date for next steps, it's because it is a little longer lead time than usual.
However, if you are sending a revision or a star contrib assignment, please highlight the edited portion in the body copy to save time.
But because we will have live content, we are booked that far out anyway, so no time lost. However, if you have timely content or ICSF content (which will be accepted no later than the Monday after ICSF), please make it super obvious in the subject line (see below).
Email will be limited during ICSF as well, so it might take a little longer for me to respond to your submissions, but I promise to email you back as quickly as I can.
if you have something that is timely, please indicate so in the subject line so that I can quickly respond. Also, if you are submitting ICSF content (which will be accepted no later than Monday, Aug. 8), please let me know in the subject line. Thank you guys for all of your hard work and stellar content.
OFFICIAL LINK POLICY
I know you all have been inquiring about our link policy, and we now have the official word. I will post this also on the "General Information" tab for future quick reference. See below:
Links and attribution
- Authors will be provided one link to a website of their choice in their author bios. These links will be standard links and should be the web address of their website (e.g. inman.com) and not anchor text (e.g. “real estate news” linked to inman.com)
- Links in articles will be evaluated for relevance and fit prior to publication. Articles and links may also be reviewed after publication and updated as deemed necessary by Inman.
- Articles should generally have four or fewer links. Exceptions are round up posts or list type posts that link to a large number of resources.
- Links in articles should only point to:
- Brands (e.g. DocuSign, Re/Max, etc.)
- A mentioned domain name (e.g. realestatewebmasters.com)
- An article acting as a source for the story (e.g. NAR's homeownership report or similar)
- Links in articles should not:
- Link to non-authoritative pages or sources
- Be used purposefully for building SEO to websites
- Inman reserves the right to remove, update, nofollow or change any link in any article at any time.
- Inman reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
