NOUNS AND VERBS TOGETHER
If you think of the noun as the who or the what and the verb as the energy of the sentence -- well, you basically have the most important parts of grammar. No matter what you are asked to do, you find the subject and verb of a sentence because they will serve as the guideposts of the sentence.
When you have a problem understanding something that seems hart to read, it helps to find these two elements first.
