This week's contributor profile is Jennifer Snyder. Check out her Inman profile here. I had a little q-and-a session via email with her. Here is what she had to say: | How long have you been a contributor? Since August of 2014. In addition to being an Inman Contributor, Jennifer is also proud to be an Inman Ambassador. What made you want to contribute? I wanted to take a chance to see if I liked writing and if I had anything important to say. I was hopeful that I could contribute and provide value to both Inman and Inman readers. If I would have known then what I know now! What an amazing and fun opportunity this has been. Thank you Inman and Inman readers! What has been your favorite article to write so far? How I landed 54 new prospects in 4 days What has been your favorite piece of feedback so far? Robert Ochs · Framingham, Massachusetts said, "You have given all Inman clients another reason to make reading Inman as part of your daily tasks. Superb post. Inspiring. Sincerely appreciative for sharing your post." What do you do in your spare time? Spare time these days is so limited! But when I have free time I play with my three small children, hang out with my husband playing poker or going out for dinner. I love to read fun books and enjoy good red wine. In the summer I love going to the cabin and going fishing. So peaceful and relaxing to get away from it all! What is your passion? My passion is exploring and creating solutions to problems in order to make people's lives easier, happier and more rewarding. Basically I love to help people! What advice would you give to other aspiring real estate professionals? Don't try to do everything all at once. There are so many marketing ideas out there that you can do. Pick three marketing areas you want to focus on and pour all your energy into those before you add anything to your plate. Also be good to your clients during and after the sale and they will be good to you! What advice would you give to new contributors? Have a thick skin, and try not to take the comments too personally. Remember that you are putting your writing out there for hundreds of thousands of people to see. You are very brave for putting yourself out there. This is not something most people can do. You are a rarity for doing it, and don't let the negative people get to you. That, and make sure you are putting really, really good content out there! Take the time to read your posts, proof them, and put your best foot forward! Thank you Jennifer for taking the time to share about yourself with us. |
