This week's contributor profile is Kellie Tinnin. Check out her work on her Inman profile. I had a little q-and-a session with her, and here is what she had to say: KELLIE'S INMAN PROFILE Kellie Tinnin is a Real Estate Agent in Albuquerque, NM. Kellie enjoys blogging and writing about the humorous side of real estate in her city. Visit her at: www.kellietinnin.com | How long have you been a contributor? Since May, 2015 What made you want to contribute? A fellow contributor put the bug in my ear. I enjoy writing, and it was something I wanted to get back into. Since I still am actively selling real estate, I thought my perspective could be relatable to other agents. What has been your favorite article to write so far? "A letter to my former self, the fledgling agent" What has been your favorite piece of feedback so far? The feedback has been overall pretty positive. Someone commented about having the guts to state something like it was. It's a good feeling to be able to produce something that people can relate to. What do you do in your spare time? My husband and I like to try new places to eat, we BBQ quite a bit in the summers so our pool can be put to good use. What is your passion? If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would start a local English bulldog rescue. I guess I'm drawn to something about the breed. I must relate to their stubbornness and tenacity. What advice would you give to other aspiring real estate professionals? Keep one foot in front of the other. Real estate can feel like trying to cut your way out of a weeded jungle with a butter knife. The business can be brutal and you have to learn to keep you head high and keep marching. What advice would you give to new contributors? Write what interests you and where you can be you. Everyone has a specialty, a segment or niche that they can offer a perspective on and be a help to someone else. |
