I've been a contributor since 2012. What made you want to contribute? Inman's audience is diverse and challenging. It's a great forum to hash out the big debates of our industry. What has been your favorite article to write so far? The most recent was the update on Upstream, partially because there was so much immediate excitement around the development of the partnership. Long-term, the article about open data and pocket listing liability generated a really strong reaction/discussion. What has been your favorite piece of feedback so far? One commenter just said that my articles always make her laugh. It wasn't particularly poignant, but it had such a personal connection compared to most of our topic-heavy discussions. What advice would you give to other aspiring real estate professionals? Get training. Get a mentor. Don't try to do everything on your own. This is a tremendously taxing business, and no matter how smart you are, you're going to make mistakes in the beginning without a lot of help. Congratulations Sam, and thank you for taking the time out to let us learn a little more about you. |
