This week's contributor profile is Sue Benson. Check out her work on her Inman profile . I had a little q-and-a session with her, and here is what she had to say: SUE'S INMAN PROFILE I am the Pink Lady of Real Estate. If you see Pink, you think of me! From my hats to my Facebook page you can't miss my pink ways. My unique videos of my listings help get them sold in record time, and I'm always looking for a way to get more attention! I try to be on the cutting edge of all social media because I feel, "If you don't evolve, you will dissolve!" Be my friend on Facebook @Pinky Remax or send me a tweet @sueispinky on Twitter. Hope to get social with you soon! | How long have you been a contributor? I don't remember when I started writing for you guys. Editor's note: Her first story published on Sept. 4, 2015. It's an oldie but a goodie. What has been your favorite article to write so far? The last year has been a bit of a blur. But my favorite story I've written has to be this one. It's close to my heart, not just because it's about my love, my son Sawyer, but it's, also, about my love for real estate and the agents that have become my family. And by far the best feedback I've had was from this story. What has been your favorite piece of feedback so far? A fellow agent in Australia, reached out to me after reading my story and told me how it touched him! And all I could think is my Sawyer, my son, has made it all the way around this world! He's gone further than I have! Wow! And from it, I gained a new "friend" on Facebook, which is what this whole contributor thing is about for me: meeting and learning from other people near and far. This world can be big and scary, and if we can just reach out and get to know just a few other people around this earth, then maybe it's not so scary anymore. So that's my advice for up-and-coming real estate agents. Don't look at fellow agents as your competition, but as a comrade. Make them your friends. What do you do in your spare time? In my spare time, I spend it with my family walking the beach in Naples or 5th Avenue in downtown. And I may spend too much time shopping for pink clothes, but I would never admit that to my hubby. |
